Digital Dentistry
Technology That Helps Us See More—and Helps You Understand More.
Digital dentistry gives us better ways to examine, explain, plan and deliver care. The technology is not the purpose. The purpose is helping you receive treatment that is clear, carefully planned and appropriate for your needs.
Why Digital Dentistry Matters
Dr. Vasquez began practicing when dentistry was entirely analog. As digital X-rays, intraoral scanning, three-dimensional imaging and computer-guided design became available, he saw how these tools could improve communication and clinical decision-making. That experience shaped a simple philosophy: use technology when it creates a meaningful benefit for the patient.
See More Clearly
Digital images, intraoral photographs and three-dimensional records can reveal details that may not be visible through a traditional two-dimensional view alone. The appropriate records depend on the patient and the question we need to answer.
Understand What We See
A diagnosis should not feel like a mysterious announcement. We use images and scans to help you see the condition, understand why it matters and participate in decisions about your care.
Plan Before We Treat
Digital records can be combined to evaluate the relationship between teeth, bone, gums, bite and the planned restoration. For implant care, the final tooth is considered before the implant position is selected. For restorative and cosmetic care, digital design helps evaluate shape, fit and function before delivery.
Same-Appointment Restorative Care
When clinically appropriate, a damaged tooth may be scanned, designed and restored during the same appointment. The benefit is not simply speed. It is an efficient, controlled workflow that can reduce temporary restorations and additional visits. Not every tooth or situation is suitable for same-appointment treatment.
Guided Implant Planning
Three-dimensional imaging and digital scans help Dr. Vasquez plan implant position in relation to the intended final restoration. This restoratively driven approach supports careful evaluation of angulation, depth, available anatomy and the planned prosthetic result.
Digital Design, Printing and Documentation
Digital design and three-dimensional printing can support models, guides, prototypes and other treatment tools. Photography and digital records also allow the team to document changes and tell the complete story of a case.
Technology Never Replaces Judgment
Every scan, design and software recommendation must be interpreted by the dentist. Digital tools support clinical experience; they do not replace examination, diagnosis, informed consent or professional judgment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does digital dentistry mean every treatment is completed in one visit?
No. Some treatments may be completed more efficiently, while others require healing, laboratory steps or staged care. Dr. Vasquez will explain the expected sequence.
Will I be able to see my records?
When useful, we review images, photographs and digital designs with you so you can better understand the condition and proposed treatment.
Is technology used for every patient?
Records and tools are selected according to clinical need. More technology is not automatically better; the right information at the right time is what matters.
