Adult Oral Conscious Sedation

What it is: Prescribed oral medication can create deeper relaxation while the adult patient remains conscious, breathes independently and can respond.

When considered: It may be considered for selected adults after medical review and informed consent.

What to expect: We begin with an examination and appropriate records, explain the findings, and tailor the sequence to the tooth, tissues, bite, health and goals.

Limits and next step: This is not IV sedation or general anesthesia. Sleep or complete amnesia is not promised.
